Kimberleigh (she/her) is a Community Engagement Professional and Poet based in London.

 

I am a charity and participatory arts professional and poet based in London. Over the past 5 years, I have worked cross-sector in the creative industries, developing sustainable community engagement programmes in; educational institutions, community organisations, and creative spaces, creating exciting ground-breaking work, reaching new and underrepresented voices.

I believe half of the job is the people, the space and the community. I have supported a network and community of support for young people to boost their confidence and self-belief, ensuring they thrive on their personal development journeys through widening participation schemes and social action initiatives.

Currently, I maintain a strong passion for the arts and creativity, which has deepened my understanding of mental health as a widespread issue impacting young people from marginalised communities. I am passionate about creating safe spaces, where connecting, nurturing participants’ voices and making a positive difference is at the heart of the work produced.
